This a perfect combination of a small efficient portable and foldable solid fuel stove and its solid fuel. I got that one but eventually discarded it for the stove that was designed to fit the canteen cup of the US military canteen....It made more sense for compatibility purpose. But this stove is also awesome.

No broad leaf grass there and I like to keep my hands clean...so I took some! Personal choice...I was not so desperate...

I went on a semi-survival trip on the French desert corral ring of Clipperton Dec 2011/Jan 2012. I had 2 canteens, one cup and the stove. It worked really well with solid fuel despite the windy condition of the atoll.

I had one cup for two canteens and one stove. The cup does not burn even after you boil water on the adapted stove with some solid fuel. (esbit) This cup is a great value...a must have!

Everything biodegradable was buried. Everything that was not was brought back. Also, you want to bury your "land mines" and have a clean living area...A plastic trowel is perfect and its handle can fit a small roll of paper! Stick it vertical on the ground and you have a paper dispenser! How cute is it???

Because of bad weather we could not land and I had to swim in pushing dry bags. I left the heavy equipment behind but kept my ax. A small ax and a good ax were exactly what I needed there...and for real coconuts...it helps a lot.

I knew I would have the opportunity to fish. The yo-yo worked well but fishes there were also biting on the anchor! Eventually, just dropping a single hook, no lead nore floater and a piece of beef jerky did the work. But the Yo-yo did work.

No one should ever go out without a spare good lenght of solid rope/cord on any trip.I used mine to compress gear I packed in the dry bags I pushed through the breakers.to go onshore. I used plenty to hang things from coconut trees away from the omnivorous hungry land crabs and rats. Always carry some.

I ween lost at sea in the middle of the ent on a semi-survival trip on the remote corral ring of Clipperton in dec 2011/Jan 2012. Nobody should go out without one. In my case the ring is 7 miles round. Water on both side and I could not get lost. But I could have been lost on the Sea of Cortez during the 5 day trip on a small trwaler. Also, to find stars for orientation, grid references from a documented topographic point, one needs a compass. Plan A, B and C...and low tech should always be A.
