I concur that a single-shot .410 is a great tool to have. I have owned many of them. They are an excellent 25-yard squirrel gun. In the scrub oak and palmetto groves in Florida a 25 yard max shot at a moving squirrel it typical, and the .410 shines there. And a single-shot gun is not really a handicap. I grew up hunting with single-shot air rifles, single-shot .22s, and single-shot shotguns. The .410 single-shot holds a special place in my heart; I plan to always own at least a few.

For a wind up radio, my expectations were not very high, but when I went out on a weekend trip in Northern Michigan, this was our only means of music entertainment,while watching TV (the camp fire). After winding it up and sitting for a bit in the daylight (it has a solar panel), it worked great. The reception was perfect, and we all were surprised at its sound. We jammed all night and enjoyed our time together while roughing it in the great outdoors. It is very lightweight too, so you would hardly notice it during the trek into the woods.

All in all, not a bad little extra to bring to the 'party'.

Definitely worthwhile.

Watch the begining of Zombieland..... (this is very VERY important). Its a funny movie and they have some great tips. WRITE THEM DOWN. Invest in a Katana. They are light and even the cheaper ones carry a good edge.
Never listen to your gun crazy brother or cusien, a 9mm will work just as good as a 45 and the ammo will be more readily available. Never buy or use fully auto weapons. The spray and pray method might work for a minute or two but your wasting alot of ammo.
Never travel in groups of more then 5. To many people to look out for. If anyone in the group gets bit or scratched, kill them on the spot. Self presevation at all times.

I think that it has good general idea of every survival basis.It does however need a few things like water purification or a small survival knife. It also needs a small survival guide for every day people who dont know anything about surviving in major conditions.

It has shelter,fire,signaling,and away to get food. BUT they should throw in a pack of water purification tablets to cover all the standards and a small vile to place it in/collect water.

Awesome great idea for preparedness and family bonding made fun. People need to get ready with what is going on in the world today. Be Prepared
